Description

A lovely sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The sapphire in the centre - certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) - displays a rich, bright and vibrant blue. The sapphire sits within a surround of 18 eight-cut diamonds within a milgrained channel setting. Wonderful pretty detailing in the gallery leads to a slender shank set with a further two diamond at the top of each shoulder.

Accompanied by a report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut: Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour: The diamonds range from H to J.

Clarity: The sapphire has visible inclusions. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI2.

Carat: The sapphire is 3.25 carat. A total approximate diamond weight of 0.38 carat.

Circa: 1930.

Size: S (UK) or 9 1/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The sapphire is 10.9 x 7.3mm. The head of the ring is 14.7 x 11.9mm and sits 6.5mm from the finger.

Weight: 4.74 grams.

Metal: Platinum. French hallmarks.
