This is a set of six Thomas Webb of Stourbridge ''rock crystal'' lead glass sherry glasses, designed in the 19th century but produced into the 20th century. These glasses date from the early 20th century as they bear the Webb logo inscribed into the feet. They were designed to look as if they had been carved from naturally occurring rock crystal. The glasses are in excellent condition. They show minimal age related wear and tear consistent with use. The glasses measure 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) in diameter across the everted bowl rims. The glasses are 13.5 cm (5.4 inches) in height. The bowls are moulded in a classical pattern of panels, swags and tails. The bowls sit on pedestal stems and feet moulded with floral wreathes. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. Each glass weighs 110 g. (~ 4 oz.).
