George James Antiques has dated this Regency Sterling Silver Tea Set to the Georgian era.
The tea pot has a marvellous cast snake decoration to the handle. Each piece is decorated with half-fluting to the body, and the borders are of gadroon and shell pattern. Each piece bears a crest and is fully hallmarked, Quite the best tea set we have had for some time and the ultimate plus is the maker, Benjamin Smith, one of the finest makers of the period.
