Magnificent three piece Geo.IV silver tea set; of circular form with the added feature of the tea pot having it''s own stand and fitted burner to keep the contents of the tea pot warm. The tea pot has a marvellous cast snake decoration to the handle. Each piece is decorated with half-fluting to the body, and the borders are of gadroon and shell pattern. Each piece bears a crest and is fully hallmarked, Quite the best tea set we have had for some time and the ultimate plus is the maker, Benjamin Smith, one of the finest makers of the period. The quality is outstanding and the weight heavy, the design is amazing; this really has everything that the discerning buyer should be looking for.
