Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 1920s.

An early example of the scavo experimental finish technique. Scavo translates from Italian to excavation, the technique recreates the early Roman excavated glass as it came out of the ground, the ingrained grime is a specific technique and this being an early 1920s, Art Deco model.
