The Chelsea Bijouterie Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Five oval-cut amethysts in a regal shade of purple (approx. 6mm x 4mm) are interspersed with six creamy split pearls (approx. 3mm), each securely collet-set and mounted within a decorative fancy-link chain.
The clasp is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham 1906, and bears the maker’s mark J G & S for John Grinsell & Sons (active 1882–1913). Additional 9ct gold marks appear on the end links and the padlock clasp itself.

The bracelet remains in excellent original condition. The stones are well-matched, and the gold has a rich, warm hue. It is presented in the box shown and would make a charming gift or heirloom-quality addition to any fine antique jewellery collection.
