The clasp shuts well but needs to be opened by pulling the loop at the top. Simple and elegant and ready to wear. The chain is 9ct rose gold throughout, and some links near the padlock are individually hallmarked for 9 and 375. The padlock is hallmarked for 9ct gold Chester 1904 . The bracelet weighs a good heavy 14.2g
