Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced between 1830 and 1837, William IV furniture bridges the Regency and Victorian eras. It is defined by robust proportions, bold turnings, carved acanthus leaves, and scrollwork executed in fine timbers like rosewood and mahogany.

19th-century piano stools were typically crafted from hardwoods such as rosewood, walnut, or mahogany. They featured threaded iron or brass height-adjustment mechanisms and were topped with wool needlepoint, tapestry, or leather upholstery.

Authentic pieces feature hand-carved architectural details, heavy triform or quadform bases, octagonal or faceted central columns, and original metal threaded screws beneath the seat mechanism.

An adjustable stool can be integrated into modern interiors as a compact side table beside an armchair, an occasional accent seat in a hallway, or a dressing table stool.

Dust the wood regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply beeswax polish sparingly along the grain. Keep needlepoint upholstery free from dust by light brushing or using a vacuum attachment on low suction.
