Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 1880s.
A superbly stylish, fine quality 19th century bronze column lamp, circa 1880-1890.
The bronze has a rich patina and sits well, an imposing lamp of excellent quality.
Please not, the base has been replaced with oak, this probably had a marble base which we assume became damaged and hence changed.
The lamp is working but not tested, presently available as it is.
We may end listing and consign to workshop where we will rewire with a twisted fabric cord, PAT test, new plug etc.., we may replace base if we can match to marble. We would then relist at a revised price but until then it is available.
