A 19th Century Grand Tour, Bronze Country House Tapering Column Lamp, Gadrooned Base 50cm.
A superbly stylish, fine quality 19th century bronze column lamp, circa 1880-1890.
An elegant 50cm Grand Tour inspired, English country house table lamp of handsome form with a gadrooned base and solid tapering column.
The bronze has a rich patina and sits well, an imposing lamp of excellent quality.
Please not, the base has been replaced with oak, this probably had a marble base which we assume became damaged and hence changed.
The lamp is working but not tested, presently available as it is.
We may end listing and consign to workshop where we will rewire with a twisted fabric cord, PAT test, new plug etc.., we may replace base if we can match to marble. We would then relist at a revised price but until then it is available.
