Georgian Double Series Opaque Twist Wine Glass, Hammered Ogee Bowl

This is a Georgian, English, single series opaque twist wine glass dating from the middle of the 18th century, c1760.
 
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot consistent with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
 
 
The glass has a ''hammer''-moulded ogee-shaped bowl measuring 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter at the rim. The lower half of the bowl is moulded with small olives which turn into flutes as the bowl turns towards the stem. The bowl sits on a single series opaque twist stem consisting of a lace twist. The stem ends in a conical foot which measures 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) in diameter. The glass is 14.7 cm (5.9 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is an old collector''s sticker on the underside of the foot.
 
Lead glass weighing in at 130 g. (~ 4 1/2 oz.).
