Description

A stunning George III Scottish silver trophy or cup. Made in Edinburgh in 1775 by Patrick Robertson. Robertson was one of Edinburgh's most celebrated silversmiths, he was apprenticed to Edward Lothian in 1743 and was Deacon in 1755 and 1743. This cup is superb quality, very heavy and in amazing condition with no damage or repairs. The crest on the front is one of the Clan McDonald,crests and there is a letter "A" engraved on the other side. The hallmarks are crisp and stamped under the foot.

WEIGHT; 866 grams or 28 ozst approx.
