Pate de verre, meaning glass paste, is an ancient technique revived in France during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by art glassmakers. The method gained prominence during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, characterized by sculptural forms, rich colour blending, and tactile, frosted surface textures.
