High quality English Victorian antique solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1875 with the maker being Chawner & Co (George William Adams). They have been made to the Hanoverian Pattern and are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 9.25 inches (23.6cm) long by 1.25 inch (3.2cm) wide and they weigh an impressive 174 grams.
