We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian glass decanters, produced during the reign of King Edward VII, often feature a combination of neoclassical influences, delicate wheel-engraved floral or vine motifs, and bulbous or mallet-shaped profiles.

These items were typically made from lead crystal or flint glass, shaped using traditional glassblowing techniques, and finished with hand-cut fluting, panel cutting, or acid etching.

Authentic pieces often show ground pontil marks on the base, hand-ground stoppers with matching numbers to the neck, and slight imperfections or bubbles inherent to early 20th-century glass manufacturing.

They can be displayed on a sideboard, bar cart, or open shelving to catch the light, either filled with coloured spirits or left empty as sculptural glass objects.

Wash them by hand using warm water and mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock, and store them with stoppers slightly ajar if there is any residual moisture inside.
