French Antique Company has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
These armoires were given to married couples on their wedding day for them to store all of their beautiful monogrammed linen.
It has lots of absolutely gorgeous, hand carved detail (including birds, grapes, vine leaves and flowers) and lovely Louis XV feet.
It is extremely practical, plenty deep enough to hang clothes and has a brass hanging rail with its original heavy oak shelf above.
Below it has 3 lovely original oak drawers with original handles.
It has its heavy original long brass hinges and escutcheons. It has a working lock and key.
The top piece, doors and shelves will be removed for transportation. It can be completely dismantled if desired. It can easily be reassembled with the instructions provided.
There is no evidence of woodworm and there are no scratches or broken pieces. It has also been professionally treated against wood worm.
