Very Large French Old Pine Double Wardrobe

Description

A very large French antique pine double wardrobe dating from circa 1900. The elegant design has a moulded cornice, shaped and tapered panelled sides and doors, and stands on bun feet that appear to be original. Distinctive square blocks at the rear are typical of this French style.

The wardrobe retains what appears to be its original lock and key, together with catches at the top and bottom. Inside is a shelf near the top with a hanging rail below. It was acquired with its original wooden rail, although a new brass rail can be fitted if preferred. The internal hanging depth is 18 inches, suitable for most clothing.

It is in really nice condition for its age, fully finished and ready to use. The current-condition price is £1,000; fully restored and waxed it is £1,150.

The wardrobe dismantles completely for delivery, including a rear section that comes apart into separate pieces, helping it pass up virtually any staircase. Personal delivery and assembly can be arranged to most areas of the UK; please provide your postcode for a quote.
