We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco figural lady lamps typically feature stylised bronze or spelter female figures holding or supporting glass globes or shades. Popularised in the 1920s and 1930s, these lights combined functional illumination with the eras focus on dynamic human forms and geometric structures.

These lamps were usually crafted using cast bronze or spelter mounted onto natural marble or alabaster bases. The shades were often made from pressed, blown, or frosted glass, sometimes featuring subtle tinting or ribbed patterns.

Authentic period pieces generally display period-appropriate wiring pathways, original switch fittings, and cast metal figures showing natural patination or age-appropriate wear to cold-painted finishes. Plinth bases often feature carved alabaster or polished marble with crisp bevelled edges.

Place the lamp on a dark wood sideboard, console table, or bedside surface to create a ambient focal point. The sculptural silhouette pairs effectively with modern minimalist or layered vintage interiors.

Dust the metallic figure and glass shade gently with a soft microfibre cloth without using chemical solvents. Ensure all electrical components are periodically inspected and updated by a qualified electrician to maintain operational safety.
