The Silver Cabinet has dated these Silver Pheasant Pepper Shakers to the 1920s.
They are German, with Hanau marks, and I would think date from the 1920s. They stand securely. The pepper holes are in the heads which pull off to fill the body cavity. The silver work is beautiful.

The last picture shows them in place on a dining table, complete with a pair of Georgian salts, a Victorian Claret Jug and one of a pair of Georgian bottle coasters, all currently in stock (but not included in this sale).
