Georgian glassware, produced during the reigns of the Georges from 1714 to 1830, is characterised by heavy lead content, deep hand-cut geometric motifs, and pontil marks on the base.

These pieces were crafted from heavy flint glass or lead crystal, shaped using traditional glassblowing techniques, and finished with wheel-cut facets and polished rims.

Authentic pieces exhibit natural surface wear, characteristic minor imperfections or bubbles within the glass, heavy lead weight, and hand-polished pontil marks on the underside.

Antique glass items can be displayed on open shelving, used as functional table accents during dining, or arranged on a sideboard to catch natural light and add textural contrast.

Historic glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, dried immediately with a lint-free cloth, and kept away from sudden temperature fluctuations.
