Victorian lens cut glassware features characteristic concave circular facets ground and polished into the glass body, creating a magnifying effect that distorts light and highlights the clarity of the material.

These pieces are typically hand-blown from lead crystal or flint glass, then shaped using optical moulds and hand-cut with wheel-engraving techniques to produce geometric patterns.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor irregularities from hand-production, and heavy lead content which gives them a distinctive ring and weighty feel compared to modern reproductions.

Vintage stemware adds a layer of historical texture when displayed in a glass-fronted cabinet, on a drinks trolley, or utilized during formal dining occasions.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using a mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives and sudden temperature changes to protect the delicate material.
