Fine Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Ice Buckets / Wine Coolers C1830

Description

This fine pair of ice buckets / wine coolers are made of Old Sheffield Plate. Dating to c1830 but bearing no makers marks. With visible seams to the interior. With removable internal buckets revealing a tinned interior. With lion masque and ring handles. With reeded edging and fluted bodies.

The condition is good overall with no dents or splits. The plating is in good order with minor signs of age related wear as is to be expected. Slight rippling to rims.

Total weight approx 3.6kg.

Height approx 21cm.

Diameter approx 21.5cm.

Base diameter approx 14cm.
