Rummers are a traditional form of heavy drinking glass that became popular in Britain during the late 18th and 19th centuries, typically used for serving wine, beer, or cider.

Traditional rummers are crafted from lead crystal or flint glass, often featuring hand-blown bowls with applied stems and feet, decorated through cutting, wheel engraving, or acid etching.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, and slight irregularities in the glass thickness or bubbles due to historical manufacturing methods.

Vintage glassware can be displayed inside glass-fronted cabinets, used as functional tableware for special occasions, or styled on open shelving to add texture and historical character to a room.

Antique glass should always be washed by hand in lukewarm water using mild detergent, avoiding harsh scrubbing or sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock and damage.
