A good example of a large solid Sterling silver serving spoon. It has a simple elongated handle with no engravings and is excellent quality, weighing approximately 115g.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1791 and the maker Thomas Northcote. There is a small engraved ''C'' below the hallmark on the reverse of the handle.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
Approximate Measurements:
Length of spoon : 12'' / 30cm
Bowl : 3 1/4'' / 8.5cm x 2'' / 5cm
