Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Norwegian Art Deco silver and enamel pieces, largely produced during the 1920s and 1930s, are characterised by clean geometric lines, vibrant guilloche enamel work, and high-purity sterling silver mounts, often influenced by the Sknvirke and modern industrial design movements.

These items typically combine 830S or 925 sterling silver with hand-cut lead crystal glass and vitreous enamel applied over engine-turned or guilloche metal surfaces to create shimmering, translucent textures.

Authenticity is verified through makers marks, sterling silver purity hallmarks such as 925S or 830S, and traditional Norwegian assay stamps, alongside the fine precision of the guilloche engraving beneath the enamel layer.

These small decorative objects work well as refined accent pieces on a dining table centre, a sideboard top, or displayed within a glass-fronted cabinet to introduce subtle colour and period craftsmanship.

Enamel is sensitive to harsh chemicals and abrasives, so pieces should be cleaned gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth, avoiding commercial silver dips that can damage the enamel or compromise vintage solders.
