Robert Belcher Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has a panelled neck and below there is a broad band of intricate cutting in a deep polished hobnail design which is also matched on the stopper. The main body of the vessel is most impressive. It is deeply carved as a superb quality continuous display of trailing vine leaves and grapes finished with a mixture of frosted and polished detailing with a lot of fine cutting to the leaf edges.
A rare and exceptional quality decanter showing great skill in its workmanship.
