A superb variation on a mid Victorian green glass dump. This rare example is a good sized inkwell and unusually retains the original stopper, which are more often than not lost or damaged over time. The tactile rounded body is filled with attractive bubble inclusions and stands on a flat base for stability. There is a large broken pontil mark to the underside and the ink reservoir is expertly blown into the glass from the top. A wonderful piece, being very decorative and having a number of alternative uses. Dimensions below.
