Pair of Antique French Giltwood Foot Stools

Description

A beautiful pair of antique French gilt wood foot stools. They were made in France, and date from around the 1860-1880 period.

The quality is superb, the solid gilt wood frames have beautiful floral carving, with cabriole shaped legs and serpentine edges.

The gilt has a lovely patina, with just the right amount of wear. They have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is very good for their age.

Width – 15 inches , 38 cm

Depth – 12 inches , 31 cm

Height – 9 inches , 23 cm
