Palais Royal opaline glass typically features translucent or opaque glass produced in France during the 19th century, frequently embellished with gilt bronze or brass mounts, and retailed in the luxury boutiques surrounding the Palais Royal in Paris.

These pieces were crafted using hand-blown opaline glass combined with cast or pierced metal mounts, often finished with fire-gilding and fitted with inner glass stoppers.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-finished pontil marks on the base, weighty opaline glass with distinctive light refraction properties, and heavy, finely chased brass or ormolu mounts characteristic of nineteenth-century French metalwork.

Antique scent bottles add a touch of historical texture when displayed on mirrored vanity trays, open dressing room shelving, or styled atop stackable art books.

Clean the glass gently using a soft, damp cloth while avoiding harsh chemical solvents that can damage historical gilt surfaces or original adhesives.
