Rare Antique Dutch Solid Silver Folding Travelling Fork & Toothpick 1893

Description

A superb rare Dutch solid sterling silver serving combination folding fork and toothpick. It is hallmarked for with Dutch marks and import marks for London 1893. It has been superbly designed being folding, the band slides to hold the tines in place, with a screw-in tooth pick to its end. It is in superb condition having no dings splits and distortions, (the tines may have old repairs but it may have been made this way as it would be very difficult to cast tines). It measures approx. 6 inches (15cms) long and weighs 37 grams. A very unusual rare piece.
