Georgian Jacobite Sympathy Air Twist Wine Glass C1750

Technical Description
 
A multi spiral air twist wine glass with a central swelling knop dating to c1750. It has an ogee bowl beautifully engraved with a stylised rose and leaves with a single bug and detailed small bee. Almost certainly a Jacobite sympathy glass when openly supporting the Jacobites was a hanging offence.
 
A beutiful example.

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips, cracks or restoration.
