An interesting and unusual piece of collectable Chester silver. This wonderful example is a large box for makeup powder. The circular body is beautifully decorated with engraved swags and bows to the lid, along with an urn containing flowers and script initials to the central cartouche. The pull off lid opens to reveal a gilt interior and the box retains part of the original powder packaging with instructions on use and the benefits of using the product. A delightful and usable example, with alternative uses. Dimensions below.
