Georgian spirit glasses date from the 18th century, a period marked by the rise of British glass manufacturing following the introduction of lead crystal by George Ravenscroft.

These pieces were typically crafted from heavy lead glass or soda-lime metal, shaped using traditional free-blown and tool-formed methods on a pontil iron.

Authentic items often feature a rough snapped pontil mark on the underside of the foot, natural air bubbles within the metal, and wear consistent with age.

Display the piece within a glass-fronted cabinet or on a sideboard top to highlight its historic silhouette and clarity against contemporary surfaces.

Clean the item strictly by hand using lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh abrasives, ultrasonic cleaners, and sudden temperature changes.
