Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian glassware, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, reflects a period of elegance and refinement, often featuring lighter, more delicate designs compared to the heavier Victorian styles.

These items were typically crafted from lead crystal or soda-lime glass, utilising techniques such as hand-blowing, moulding, acid-etching, and wheel-engraving to create intricate floral and geometric motifs.

Authentication involves examining the piece for characteristic manufacturing traits such as pontil marks, minor surface imperfections, hand-polished facets, and weight consistent with lead content from the early twentieth century.

Such pieces can be utilised as functional floral vessels or standalone decorative accents on dining tables, sideboards, or open shelving, adding historical texture to contemporary spaces.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using a mild, non-abrasive detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals, sudden temperature changes, and dishwasher cycles to protect the delicate surface finish.
