A 19th Century Burr Walnut Display Cabinet/bookcase

Description

A Monumental Exhibition quality, 19th Century Burr Walnut, Ebonised and Parcel-gilt Breakfront Display Cabinet/Bookcase.

Standing on a plinth base, the four blind doors of superb book matched burr walnut veneers.

The four glazed door upper section sitting below a magnificent cornice with broken pediment.

The shelves retaining the original leather dust covers, the whole carcass including the panelled backboards of top quality mahogany. The cabinet highlighted with ebonised and parcel-gilt mouldings. A cabinet of this quality almost certainly made by one of the top firms such as Gillow.

In unrestored country house condition.
