FAQs

Neoclassical onyx table lamps feature symmetrical architectural shapes, such as obelisks or fluted columns, combined with cast gilt brass or bronze mountings.

These lamps are typically constructed from carved natural onyx or marble, mounted on cast brass or gilt metal bases and fitted with electrical sockets.

Authentic pieces demonstrate natural veining and translucent layering within the stone, accompanied by heavy cast brass fittings and age-appropriate patination on the metal components.

Position the lamp on a dark wood sideboard, desk, or side table to highlight the natural banding of the stone and provide warm ambient accent lighting.

Dust the stone and brass components regularly with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding abrasive chemicals or acid-based cleaners that can etch the mineral surface.
