A Rare Regency Cut Glass Bottle/decanter Coaster

An extremely rare example of Regency period cut glass, probably of Irish origin. This is a wine coaster for a small decanter or wine bottle. Difficult to find, this is a scarce and desirable item with a practical use. It is of circular form with a deep reserve to hold the desired vessel. The turned over rim has a cut design and to the centre, the base has deep fan cutting. The sides have panels of slice cutting and step cutting below the rim. A wonderful example of Georgian decorative and usable glass. Dimensions below.
