An 18th-century George I coffee pot, manufactured in London in 1719, presents a tapered lighthouse form in sterling silver paired with a dark wooden handle. The polished silver body carries a swan-neck spout, a domed lid topped with a small round finial, a shaped scroll handle, and subtle stepped base mouldings. Rubbed hallmarks show a visible date letter D on the body and a lion's head erased on the lid, alongside minor surface wear appropriate for its age. Standing at 22 cm high, the coffee pot weighs 500 grams. Practical for use today, this antique piece suits placement on a dining room sideboard or a living room display table for serving coffee or as a decorative item in a traditional interior setting.

Produced during the reign of King George I between 1714 and 1727, these silver coffee pots typically feature a tapered cylindrical body known as a lighthouse form, a high domed lid with a finial, a curved spout, and a heat-insulating wooden scroll handle.

They were forged from sterling silver or higher-standard Britannia silver, fitted with carved hardwood handles such as ebony, fruitwood, or walnut to protect the users hand from heat conductivity.

Authenticity is confirmed by examining hallmark stamps on the base or rim, which include the makers mark, date letter, town mark, and the lion passant or Britannia purity mark corresponding to early 18th-century assays.

Antique silver hollowware functions as a formal decorative object when displayed on a dining sideboard top, a butlers tray, or alongside contemporary ceramics to create visual contrast.

Clean gently using a non-abrasive silver polish or dedicated polishing cloth to remove tarnish, ensuring the wooden handle remains dry to prevent cracking or loosening over time.
