Unusual Art Deco Silver Mounted Shagreen Cut Glass Rouge Pot,london 1927

Description

This charming silver mounted shagreen rouge pot is dated London 1927. The silver lid fitted with pale green shagreen. The inner lid gilt. The silver rim unusually slots into the glass rim of the pot. The rouge pot with hobnail-cut decorations.

Hallmarks:

Maker's marks indistinct.

London Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "m" for 1927.

Condition:

Very good.

Shagreen lid in excellent condition.

Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Dimensions:

Height: 4cm / 1.4 inches.

Lid diameter: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.

Maximum diameter: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.
