Puckerings has dated this Christofle Silver Cocktail Tray to the 1940s.

Maison Christofle is an iconic French silversmith and luxury homegoods manufacturer founded in Paris in 1830 by the visionary industrialist Charles Christofle. For nearly two centuries, the company revolutionized how precious metals were used, transforming silverware from an exclusive luxury of royalty into a hallmark of refined living across the globe.

The house became the official supplier to King Louis-Philippe I and later Emperor Napoleon III, creating massive, breathtaking centrepieces and banquet service sets for French palaces.
Christofle swept gold medals at the legendary World Fairs, including the 1851 Great Exhibition in London and the 1855 Universal Exhibition in Paris. They soon provided lavish custom tableware to foreign monarchs, sultanates, luxury ocean liners, and grand hotels.

Just back from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory (minor wear commensurate with age and use). Excellent condition measuring 13 1/4" in diameter.
