Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The motif is derived from Sir Joshua Reynolds 1787 painting A Childs Heads, which depicted Frances Isabella Ker Gordon in five angelic poses and became immensely popular across decorative metalwork during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.

These items were predominantly crafted from sterling silver using repousse and chasing techniques to form raised relief designs, often finished with engine-turned patterning or crimped borders.

Authentic items display official British hallmarks, which include a makers mark, town mark, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, and a specific date letter from the period between 1901 and 1910.

Small silver boxes function as decorative accents when displayed on a bedside table, dressing table tray, or bathroom counter to store small items of jewellery.

Silver should be cleaned gently using a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild silver cream, avoiding abrasive cleaners or chemical dips that can strip historical oxidisation from intricate recesses.
