Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

An antique glass scent bottle is a small, portable vessel produced during the 19th century or earlier, designed to hold liquid perfumes, essential oils, or smelling salts for personal use.

These pieces were typically crafted using mould-blown or free-blown coloured glass, often featuring hand-gilded metal mounts, enamel decoration, or cut glass stoppers.

Authentication relies on examining the pontil mark on the base, the wear patterns on any gilding, the consistency of the glass batch including tiny air bubbles, and the fit of the original stopper.

They can be displayed grouped together on a mirrored vanity tray, arranged inside a glass-fronted cabinet, or placed thoughtfully upon a mantelpiece as small decorative accents.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid submerging in water if the piece features delicate exterior gilding or paper labels, and never use abrasive chemical cleaners.
