A very rare pair of 19th century yew wood candle stools, with turned tops. These stools were originally made to stand on dressers for candles or objects. Circa 1820.

This pair of Regency candle stand stools dates from circa 1820 and originates from the English Country House style. Constructed from yew wood, the pieces present a warm brown timber colour with a polished finish and distinct wood grain patterns. Each low stool comprises an octagonal top set with a carved dished circular centre, supported on four turned baluster legs with bulbous lower sections and neat rounded feet.
