Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Revolving bookcases gained popularity during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, designed to provide easy access to reference volumes and encyclopaedias in studies, libraries, and offices.

Authentic pieces are typically constructed from dense hardwoods like mahogany or oak, featuring internal cross-framing support and a central iron or brass bearing mechanism to facilitate smooth rotation.

Authenticity can be determined by examining the joinery, such as dovetailing on internal shelves, the presence of period-appropriate castors, and natural ageing like patina and minor wear on the wood surface.

This piece works well as a functional accent near a seating area or home workspace, offering vertical storage while serving as a sculptural focal point for displaying curated collections of books.

Maintain the wood by dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth and occasionally applying quality beeswax to nourish the finish, keeping the piece away from direct sunlight and excessive heat sources.
