We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

A rise and fall pendant light uses a weighted pulley mechanism connected to a cord, allowing the user to easily adjust the hanging height of the fixture over a table or workspace.

These fixtures typically feature hand-blown opaque or milk glass shades, brass or bronze hardware, ceramic counterweights, and braided textile flex cables.

Authentic period pieces feature heavy ceramic or metal internal counterweights, solid brass mechanical components, and characteristic wear patterns on the pulleys and cord channels.

They make an ideal focal point when suspended low over a kitchen island, dining table, or reading nook, blending functional adjustable illumination with period character.

Remove the shades carefully and wash them in lukewarm water with mild soap, avoiding harsh abrasives that could damage delicate hand-painted rims or aged glass surfaces.
