Air twist glasses feature elongated, thread-like bubbles trapped within the stem, created by drawing air from inside the hot glass lump prior to forming and twisting.

These pieces were typically crafted from lead crystal using free-blown techniques, often combining different components like a separately formed bowl, stem, and foot.

Authentic pieces exhibit characteristics such as pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear appropriate to age, and subtle asymmetries inherent to hand-blown manufacturing.

Antique stemware can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, on open shelving, or utilised as refined tabletop accents to introduce historical texture to contemporary spaces.

Antique glass should be washed exclusively by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive materials and sudden temperature changes to protect the fragile structure.
