Edwardian vanity items, produced between 1901 and 1910, frequently incorporate refined neoclassical motifs, delicate pierced silver mounts, and intricate hobnail or star-cut glass patterns, reflecting the elegance of the period.

These bottles were typically manufactured using heavy lead crystal or flint glass, paired with sterling silver collars, caps, and lids, often featuring hallmarks stamped with the assay office, standard mark, and date letter.

Authenticity is verified by examining the silver components for crisp British hallmarks, checking the glass for hand-cut facets and natural age-related wear, and ensuring the collar fits securely to the glass neck.

Such pieces add a touch of historical texture and reflective quality when displayed on a mirrored tray, marble bathroom shelf, or a minimalist dressing table alongside contemporary items.

The glass can be gently washed with warm soapy water using a soft brush, while the silver mount should be carefully cleaned with a specialist non-abrasive silver cloth, avoiding direct contact with the glass to protect any cement securing the collar.
