Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Queen Anne style, emerging in the early 18th century, is characterised by graceful curves, cabriole legs, pad feet, and an emphasis on comfort and domestic simplicity over heavy ornamentation.

Period stools were predominantly constructed from native hardwoods such as oak, walnut, or mahogany, featuring traditional joinery methods like mortise and tenon, and upholstered with textiles such as velvet, needlework, or damask.

Authentic pieces are identified through construction hallmarks such as hand-cut joints, traditional timber shrinkage, tool marks, period-appropriate fixings, and natural patina accumulated through age and use.

An antique stool functions effectively as an accent piece, serving as a flexible seat, a low display surface, or a contrasting textural element that bridges traditional and modern design aesthetics.

Preservation requires maintaining stable indoor humidity and temperature levels, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent wood bleaching and fabric fading, and applying appropriate beeswax polish sparingly to nourish the timber.
