FAQs

Tankards featuring animal horn or antler handles gained popularity in British and European traditions, merging rustic motifs with traditional metalwork, particularly during the mid-20th century.

These pieces typically combine a brass or copper base metal electroplated with silver, paired with a securely attached natural stag antler or horn handle fastened via metal pins.

Authenticity is usually verified through makers marks or stamps on the base, the quality of the silver plating, and the organic variations and texture of the genuine antler handle.

This piece can be styled as a decorative accent on a home bar, a mantelpiece, or integrated into a rustic-inspired display alongside books and glassware.

Clean gently with a soft microfiber cloth and specialised silver polish to prevent removing the plating, and store in a dry environment to avoid tarnishing and moisture damage to organic horn components.
