Edwardian silver card cases were used during the early 20th century by high society members to exchange visiting cards as part of formal etiquette.

These pieces were typically crafted from sterling silver using techniques such as hand-engraving, engine-turning, and repousse to create intricate surface patterns.

Authentic pieces feature clear British hallmarks indicating the assay office, standard silver fineness, and date letter corresponding to the Edwardian period.

It can be displayed flat on a decorative tray, placed inside a glass-topped coffee table, or styled on a bookshelf as part of a curated collection of small antiquities.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly using a non-abrasive silver cloth to preserve the patina, avoiding harsh liquid dips that can damage engraved details.
