This tall French Art Nouveau five-branch candelabra dates to 1880, bringing organic elegance to interior spaces. Formed from silver metal, crystal, and glass, the piece glows in polished silver tones. The design centres on a slender fluted column rising from a foliate base, supporting five scrolling branches adorned with whiplash curves. Each candle sconce features a ruffled crystal drip pan hung with delicate crystal prisms, while burning white candles illuminate the fixture from above. Visible elements include intricate botanical moulding on the base and a central finial candle holder rising between the arms. Measuring 97 cm high, 48 cm wide, and 48 cm deep, the candelabra serves as a striking dining table centrepiece or a decorative accent on a sideboard within a period dining room or hallway. The structure stands in good antique condition, displaying aged patination on the silver metal surfaces. Placed upon a large table or serving surface, the candelabra provides atmospheric lighting and classic nineteenth-century French chateau character to a home interior.

Art Nouveau candelabras produced between 1890 and 1910 feature organic, naturalistic forms, whiplash curves, and decorative motifs inspired by flora and botanical shapes.

These items were commonly cast from bronze, brass, or spelter, frequently finished with silver plating and paired with cut glass or crystal drip pans and drop prisms.

Authentic pieces display asymmetrical fluid lines, period-appropriate wear to the silvered surface, original glass fitting connections, and occasionally foundry marks or maker stamps near the base.

Place the candelabra as a central statement piece on a modern dining table or sideboard, allowing its metallic patina and crystal details to contrast against clean, neutral backgrounds.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and polish silver surfaces gently using specialised silver cleaner, while removing glass drops to wash separately in warm, soapy water.
