Description

This is a very impressive heavy set of antique sterling silver menu holders commemorating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

They are clearly hallmarked for London 1896 with the maker's mark of Mappin Brothers. The intricate design features a rose, a crown, a sixpence and a thistle, all flanked by laurels. The inscription across the width of the menu holder reads: '1837 Victoria 1897'.

The come in a large custom made wooden box, the lid of which is a little loose.
